The children available for sponsorship are all from the most impoverished backgrounds. Sponsorship gives you the chance to share and better a child's life. Your donation contributes to a full program of education, nutrition, social services and support. You'll receive detailed information and photos and have the chance to become a valuable mentor, pen-pal and friend. Communication with your sponsored child starts immediately after you enroll. The links it can create and build can become something precious and inspiring in the child's life and in your own.

Little Child (Under 6 years old) (US $100 a month or $1,200 a year)

These vulnerable children are from backgrounds which put them at high risk of neglect or abuse. They range in age is under 6 years old, the oldest of whom are just starting public school. Communication is initially one-way, from our care workers to you; ideal for those who want to sponsor but lack the time to respond to emails. The children in this group are particularly fragile. Born or brought into the toxic, unsanitary and unsafe surroundings of the old dump, their homes lack every amenity and their families, beset with the need to survive or bedeviled with life-negating issues, often have little or no time or inclination to give them the care they need. Both nursery and daycare children are provided with a safe and positive daytime environment. Their health and welfare, physical and personal, are priorities, and they all benefit from the care and services ACO provides. ACO's varied and capable staff ensures that their nutritional and healthcare needs are met and constantly reviewed. Depending on age and stage, the children can play, learn, make friends and enjoy their daily lives in a safe and clean environment. As a sponsor, you will get to know about your sponsored child's life and circumstances before and after they join ACO. Because these children are too young to communicate, a dedicated translator will be your link with your sponsored child from the outset of the sponsorship. The translator will not simply keep you informed of the child's progress but will be your contact point to find out about birthdays and such and, in time, to help you develop a relationship with the child and become an active part of the youngster's life.These children start to improve and begin to flourish soon after entry to the program. With ACO's help and care, they face a future with hope, with the chance to become healthy, happy children, to get an education and all the opportunities that it can bring.
