Nou Tat is the Founder/Director of CCWP; he grew up in a rural area in Siem Reap province. After graduation from High School he started his career as a licensed tour guide. While guiding tours in the rural surrounds of Siem Reap he encountered the type of poverty he had seen and experienced as a youth, poor water quality, and lack of regular food and under resourced schools. In 2002, motivated by the idea of providing these families with opportunities to live healthier lives and develop economic security, Nou Tat started the clean water project. He registered the project under the name of Cambodian Clean Water Project (CCWP). Nou Tat lives in Siem Reap and travels around Cambodia with his work while continuing to install new wells, liaise with community leaders, families in need. His original concept of bringing clean water to rural communities has developed to include projects such as helping volunteers to teach English, computer and text-book supplies to schools. This charity work is supported by a team of international volunteers who continue to be inspired by his energy and passion for improving the lives of the poor in rural Cambodia.

We have known and met this organization’s key person (Mr. Nou Tat), from my friend Mr. Tom, when I was in Siem Reap with my partner. We really want to do something for to help out people. Yes, we trust this organization – after our visit to Angkor charity school– and we are going back to visit it again soon.
