Angkor Charity Organization currently provides the main following programs as below “Pre-school, Comprehensive, Volunteer Teaching English Program” for International guests who visit Siem Reap, Angkor. We currently host 7 classes per day (3 classes in the morning & 4 in the afternoon), taught by local and foreign volunteer teachers. There are more than 100 children between 7 classes per day. They range in age from 5-15 years old with the median lying around 10 years old. 

Pre-school

Little ones from three to six years of age can join our preschool program. Here they get the best start to their academic journey, becoming familiar with a school campus before entering formal education in public school. They play in a safe, caring environment while learning English, art, traditional songs, hygiene, manners and respect for others. Young minds need good nutrition to grow and function properly, so at preschool we make sure our kids get safe and healthy environment. Our structured play activities’re designed to increase motor skills & coordination while being great fun.

Comprehensive Education

Here the children learn English, Khmer, mathematics, social studies, art and drawing, computer and home economics. The goal of this course is to provide dynamic academic content, accelerated-learning opportunities and new-found promise and prospects. This is a unique education system within CCF that helps our children reach their full learning potential. As well as their public school subjects, ACO provides students with half-day comprehensive English education, computer class and social studies, as well as other classes that reinforce what they learn at public school. We monitor students' academic results and their behavior records. We have a special curriculum for younger children that include motion, exercise, playing games and learning songs.

Teaching English in a foreign country is an extremely rewarding and exhilarating experience for visitors to Cambodia. The local children are sure to touch your heart and mind. We always need your HELP, whatever it is to teach English, play games, or simply give our children some loving attention, our staffs are happy to assist you.

Value to Community

Our English Language School provides 100% Free Education to the local identified poorest, destitute and orphaned children of Chongkoasu village and the surrounding areas in Siem Reap. ACO recognizes the established and growing importance of English Language in Cambodia and the world to-day. It has permeated into the most business sectors in Cambodia and we recognize that these children will more easily be able to raise themselves out of poverty if they have knowledge of English. Our program teaches the skill of English Language to our children that would otherwise not have an opportunity equal to this program. Back
