ACO is currently assessing the aspects of developing a local program of class dedicated to teaching Computer skills & Internet proficiency. We are actively seeking individuals or organizations that would be interested in either sponsoring our efforts or collaborating with ACO in this endeavor. Having computer skills along with a good level of fluency in English is pivotal to being successful in today's world economy, as well as the local economy of Siem Reap. The tourism market in Siem Reap offers a great career potential to those with the proper training, and assisting the local families in realizing this success is one of the fundamental missions of ACO. It is always our goal to use local economic opportunities and resources to help the local families and villages.  Please kindly look at our needs.

Basic Information:

• Provide 35 Desktops to ACO’s teacher-staffs & students.

• Refurbished Desktops cost on average $400 USD each.

Overview:

ACO prides itself in assisting teacher and students training in everyway we can, ensuring our children are receiving a highest standard of education. By providing refurbished laptops to teachers, you will allow for improved training and up-to-date coaching for our teachers, allowing for ACO to continue providing a quality education to all vulnerable students.

Television & Radio

Beyond the social education degree from state school or private institute; the students of ACO should attend a special training course such as TV and Radio training-skill for improving their future basic life work!

Designing & Tailoring (Kids, Teens and Adults)

My goal is to make learning to design, tailor a fun and enriching experience!  With our professional-standard training in design and tailor, the sky's the limit for our students & ladies in our community. Those who want to become fashion designers or professional tailors study this course for three years and are ready to take on jobs or apprenticeships in the industry, rather than having to work in a garment factory. Some students will love tailoring enough to become lifetime enthusiasts. I met many students that have used the skills that they learned from school to enable them to go on into careers in Fashion Designing & Tailoring. Designing & Tailoring take practice, so the more experience your student has tailoring; the more his or her tailoring skills will improve. Designing & Tailoring teach so many useful skills for everyone such as: patience, creativity, spatial development, geometry, and sense of style and a good dose of common sense. Tailoring is a life skill that helps enhancing human patience and creativity, while instilling a sense of good accomplishment. My Motto is- "The World is What You Make it. If it doesn't fit make alterations."

Electricity

It is one of the most important vocational training programs of our organization to open this skill for the local people and train them to achieve their career as an electrician that they can better themselves and family as whole.

It is one of our most pivotal vocations among our most significant programs in the near future for ACO.

It is one of the significant programs which ACO will bring it into our school to train our students in the near future!

Khmer Art (Kids, Teens and Adults)

The Khmer Rouge’s assault on the arts was a terrible blow to Cambodian culture. Indeed, for a number of years the common consensus among Khmers was that their culture had been irrevocably lost. The Khmer Rouge not only did away with living bearers of the Khmer culture, it also destroyed cultural artifacts, statues, musical, instruments, books and anything else that served as a reminder of a past it was trying to efface. The temples of the Angkor were spared as a symbol of Khmer glory and empire, but little else survived. Our aim is to revive our arts and to spread the root of Khmer Arts to young people of Cambodian.

Make-Up & Hairdressing

We are planning to open Make-up & Hairdressing Center for students in our school to give new hairstyles and make-up sessions to members of the local community. Hair and Make-up students train and study in a professional salon so they will be ready to take on jobs in the industry when they complete their training. We place students in apprenticeships or jobs once they graduate, and we follow up their progress. (Your donation directly benefits our needs. Back
